Staff who provide direct care to children or have unsupervised access to children shall have completed a comprehensive background check at least once every five years or whenever the OEC requires. Such comprehensive background check shall be conducted in accordance with 45 CFR 98.43, as amended from time to time. The operator shall maintain evidence of compliance with this section at the child care program.
