A Connecticut Public-Records Project

How Very Dare You.

Every licensed child care provider in Connecticut. Every inspection, investigation, and outcome on the public record — presented intact.

FOI Desk · Tool

Ask Connecticut for the rest of the file.

When a case shows on the public record but the narrative isn't posted, you can request it directly from the Office of Early Childhood under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act. This tool drafts the letter for you.

Provider or case subject
Specific case number (optional)

You can find case numbers on the provider's page in the investigation timeline.

What's public already

License status, capacity, investigation case numbers, opened/closed dates, resolution text, and inspection actions when case IDs match across OEC datasets.

What requires FOI

Full complaint narratives, inspector field notes, photographic evidence, CAP full text, and the agency's correspondence with the provider.

Timeline to expect

Under CT law, agencies acknowledge in 4 business days and aim to produce records in 10 — complex requests take longer.

Staff · optional

Operators can sign in to see detailed agency contacts, pre-check public sources, and track filed requests.
