Except for nonprescription topical medications and emergency medications, medication shall be stored in a locked area or a locked container, in a refrigerator in keeping with the label or manufacturer's directions, away from food and inaccessible to children and unauthorized personnel. Emergency medications shall be stored in a safe manner, inaccessible to other children, to allow for quick access in an emergency.
