47-Responsibilities of Provider & Substitute- Appropriate discipline practices
The provider shall use only developmentally appropriate behavior management methods such as positive guidance, redirection, and setting clear limits that encourage children to develop self-control, self-discipline, and positive self- esteem, while also protecting them from harm to themselves or others. The provider shall discuss behavior management methods used in the facility with the child's parents prior to enrollment and regularly during the period a child remains enrolled.
